Adam Morfeld founded Nebraskans for Civic Reform in 2008 to protect voting rights, create more accessible elections and strengthen K-12 civic education. His goal is to create a modern, informed and accountable democracy that all Nebraskans can be proud of. Since then Nebraskans for Civic Reform has become the only public interest organization in Nebraska dedicated to creating uniquely Nebraskan civic education programs and conducting Nebraska specific election administration policy research.
Adam graduated from the University of Nebraska Lincoln with a BA in Political Science and a minor in Economics. He graduated from the Nebraska College of Law and was a member of the Nebraska Law Review, Robert Van Pelt Inn of Court and American Constitution Society.
His scholarly research focuses on state legislatures and Nebraska election administration.
Dillon Jones

Dillon Jones began working at NCR as a Civic Engagement Intern, his primary responsibility involved developing a civic engagement program in conjunction with Lincoln Public Schools. At the end of his internship he was hired on as NCR’s AmeriCorp Director of Civic Engagement, and currently oversees all civic engagement related initiatives and projects. He also sits on the board of Volunteer Partners and has been a mentor through Nebraska Teammates for two years. Dillon Jones works for NCR because his main responsibility is to find creative ways to empower the traditionally disenfranchised and marginalized.
Cliff McEvoy (Capt. USAF Ret.)

Clifton McEvoy was commissioned as an Air Force officer through ROTC at Saint Louis University with a Political Science degree. He served for six and a half years in ICBM Missile Operations before separating in 2010 as a Captain. Cliff attended the University of Akron and received his Masters of Public Administration with Pi Alpha Alpha Honors in 2012.
He commanded the Arnold Air Society, a cadet community service organization focused on military training and volunteerism; he tripled donations as the fundraising officer for a local Relay for Life team in Cheyenne, WY, and organized a Habitat for Humanity team to help build the Valor Home, a transitional facility for veterans in Akron, OH. Cliff McEvoy is a Nebraska native, concerned veteran, dedicated professional and avid half-marathon runner.
Rachel Gehringer-Wiar

Rachel Gehringer-Wiar is passionate about harnessing the power of community to create positive change in Nebraska. Rachel began working as a policy intern with NCR in January 2013 and has since been hired on to be part of the Veteran Corps team. In the past, she has worked as a field organizer in Omaha for the Human Rights Campaign, as a student organizer in Lincoln for Nebraska Appleseed, and as the online coordinator for an Omaha legislative race.
She has also worked to train and organize students on progressive issues at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln through her position as chair of the UNL Progressive Student Coalition in her undergraduate years. In her free time, Rachel enjoys going to concerts, drinking good coffee, eating at local restaurants, and trying to look as hip as Dillon Jones.
Sara Tangdall

Sara Tangdall recently graduated from University of Nebraska at Omaha with a master’s degree in English. During her time at UNO, she was a graduate teaching assistant and became and intern for NCR. Through these two experiences, she discovered she loves to teach and help people, and NCR’s education and veteran programs will give her the opportunity to continue to enhance these skills. In her free time, Sara enjoys sitting in coffee shops, reading books, getting sucked into Netflix TV show marathons, watching Husker football, listening to hipster music and buying hipster clothes, and hanging out with her friends, family, and boyfriend.
