Introducing the Equal Justice Corps

We’re excited to announce a joint venture with our friends at Legal Aid of Nebraska, the Equal Justice Corps. Last summer, Legal Aid launched the Equal Justice Corps to provide college-aged students with hands on experience in communities across Nebraska and promote Legal Aid as a resource to all Nebraskans. This year Nebraskans for Civic Reform was invited by Legal Aid to assist in managing the program and increasing the fellows’ awareness of civic engagement in Nebraska

While Equal Justice Corps fellows will continue to attend community events and promote Legal Aid services, we have challenged them to really look at the communities they are serving, to identify obstacles and challenges community members face, and recognize that they can make a difference in their community.

Check back this week for spotlights on the 10 Equal Justice Fellows.
